Early Birds Breakfast Club

‘Early Birds’ breakfast club is managed by Mrs Beaumont, and supported by other members of staff, from 8.00 to 8.40am each weekday for the complete duration of each term, at a cost of only £2.50 per session for each child.  Pupils are given breakfast first; such as cereals, toast, fresh fruit and fruit juice.  After breakfast, they take part in fun study support activities which enhance some of our curricular activities such as board games, literacy puzzles or games in the hall until 8.40am, when they join other pupils in the playground before registration in class.  You will also find below a schedule showing the food and activities on offer, which is reviewed periodically.

There is a maximum number of places for 30 children each day, so that we can ensure the club is adequately staffed.  For this reason, places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis to all pupils. The Booking form is available on Parentmail or in Hard copy from Breakfast Club or the school office.  Payments for Breakfast club should now be made on ParentPay.  We ask that you also include contact details and information regarding food allergies or dietary restrictions on the booking form. We will give you confirmation of sessions booked for the half term for your child.  If you need the services of Early Birds on an “ad-hoc” basis, do contact Mrs Beaumont who will, if at all possible, accommodate your request for an extra place for your child.

If your child cannot attend a pre-booked ‘Early Birds’ session because of illness, we will credit the cost of any sessions missed which have already been paid for when you re-book for the following half term.  We are endeavouring to keep charges for the club affordable for parents, and in line with this, I would like to re-iterate that “credits” can only be given if children are absent from school due to illness.

We would like to ensure that all children have the opportunity to take part in the activities planned, and ask all parents to make sure that children arrive between 08.00 and 08.15am at the latest, so that we have time to serve breakfast before our planned activity.

As normal on a school day, we ask parents not to use the school car park as a greater volume of traffic entering and leaving the school site increases danger for the children.  Also, we do ask you to bear in mind your children’s safety when dropping off earlier in the morning – younger children should be brought into school by their parent or carer.

For any enquiries about Breakfast Club, please speak to Mrs Beaumont or the office staff.
