"Chartridge
Combined School is a good school which enables pupils to achieve
well and reach high standards." Ofsted May 2007
“At
Chartridge Combined School we take pride in everything we do. We
really value all achievements and encourage everyone to reach
their potential. Our caring approach, high standards,
beautiful location and diverse community all create a special
environment for children to be happy and prepared for their next
steps in life.”
Thank you for your
interest in Chartridge School; I hope you find the information here
useful.
Chartridge School is set in the beautiful
village of Chartridge on the rural outskirts of Chesham, and
benefits from extensive grounds surrounded by countryside. The
school has a very caring family ethos; where all children are
encouraged to take pride in all they do and their achievements
are really valued.
We have a very dedicated staff who are committed to
providing a high quality education for all our pupils. We offer
a well balanced and stimulating curriculum that encourages
children to develop a positive attitude to their learning. We
set high standards, and have high expectations, for all our
children in their studies and behaviour. The school has a
diverse community and we strive to ensure that all cultures are
embraced, and that children show real respect for each other and our
school.
We aim to ensure that our pupils develop enquiring minds and
acquire the relevant skills, attitudes and knowledge to prepare
them as they progress from Chartridge to Secondary School, and
beyond into adult life. We also encourage a healthy attitude
towards physical activity, diet and emotional well being.
We have well qualified, enthusiastic staff with high teacher
expectations and high levels of pupil achievement. A wide range
of extra-curricular activities is offered so that children can
further develop their musical, sporting and artistic talents.
Parents are closely involved in their children’s education and we
are very fortunate to have an extremely supportive Parents
Association. Governors at the school are active in
ensuring that our aims and objectives are met, and strategic
planning ensures high quality resources and facilities for the
children in our care.
Since I arrived at the school in January 2007, I have been
very impressed by the warm and friendly atmosphere at Chartridge
and the positive attitude of the children, parents and staff. If
you are interested in finding out more about our school first
hand, you are welcome to come and visit us. I’m sure you too will be
impressed!
